Scott has been at Medbury since 2014. He has been teaching for nine years, in schools in Taranaki, Blenheim and Qatar. Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology and Philosophy from University of Otago, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Primary Teaching from the Dunedin College of Education.

Warren Durant

Warren Durant

Year 6 Teacher and Head of SENCO

Warren commenced teaching at Medbury in 2016. Prior to this he taught at Crawford Preparatory School, Michaelhouse and The Cathedral Grammar School. Warren has a Bachelor of Primary Education degree from Natal University, a Bachelor of Education degree (with Honours) in Leadership and Management from The University of The Witwatersrand, and a Postgraduate Certificate in the Effective Practice in Gifted Education.

Pip Andrews

Pip Andrews

Year 6 Teacher

Pip has been teaching at Medbury since 2013. She held the position of Assistant Principal and Junior Team Leader before her maternity leave in 2018. Prior to Medbury she taught at Westburn School before heading to the UK on her OE. While in London, Pip taught at The Roche School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Education from the University of Otago, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Primary Teaching from the New Zealand Graduate School of Education.

Emma Hocquard

Emma Hocquard

Middle School Teacher

Emma graduated with a Bachelor of Education in 2006 from the Christchurch College of Education. In 2007 she began her teaching career at Kirkwood Intermediate School where she taught both Year 7 and Year 8 children. Prior to going on maternity leave she held the position of Year 8 Team Leader.

Anna Oborne

Anna has been teaching at Medbury since 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning from the Christchurch College of Education. After graduating she lived overseas for 11 years, teaching in both London and Sydney. She has worked in a range of different schools and taught from Years 1 to Year 6.

Danielle Bowden

Danielle Bowden

Year 5 Teacher

Danielle joined Medbury in January 2018, having previously taught at schools in both Auckland and Christchurch. She holds a Bachelor of Physical Education majoring in Exercise Prescription and Sport and Leisure Studies from University of Otago, and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Primary) from the University of Auckland. Before finding her true passion of teaching and learning, Danielle worked in physical rehabilitation and as a Swim Instructor.

Nicholas Black

Nicholas Black

Year 4 Teacher

Nicholas has been working at Medbury since 1999. In 2005, he spent sometime overseas and returned to Medbury as a Year 5 Teacher. In 2016, Nicholas took a year’s sabbatical, working on the family farm, and continued to work weekends in the Boarding House as a Boarding Master. He is currently teaching a Year 6 class while working as a Boarding Master. Nicholas holds a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning from the Christchurch College of Education.

Tanya Princeton

Tanya Princeton

Year 4 Teacher

Tanya has been teaching since 1992 across all age ranges. She has been at Medbury since 2009 teaching in Year 4. She taught in London for nine years, mainly in the private school system. She holds a Bachelor of Education (with a double major in History) and a Diploma of Teaching from Canterbury University.
